Never Fall Flakes

Me and my dad made this poem and then I went
into a talent show, and the poem became famous in my county.

Never Fall Flakes
(Written in two bedtimes)

I.
I use scissors to cut the shape
And a crafting knife for squares
Circles on the inside in a row
All different shades and designs
Some scary shapes, some fun
Even one in a neat bow.

One has swords in a circle, another is a crab
One has angels hanging on, and some have
Flames and spines
Some are pop-outs, first cut out,
Then folded to look even more real
And not just cut-out lines.

A daisy chain of people locking arms
And teddy bears holding paws,
The purple of friendship.
The Keystone skiing symbol
And a white and red Hawaiian flower
And icicles about to drip.

II.
The shadows left on the ceiling
Look at the toy train tracks on the floor
They are all the same color
Sometimes dark, sometimes fuzzy gray.

The paper was cut and folded into snowflakes
The snowflakes pressed and folded into shadows

Some shadows are hiding in the nearby
Darkness, the darkness is hiding from the lamp.

The snowflakes make me feel as if
I'm resting in the clouds
And the clouds are blowing me to sleep.
